I love to write.  It is the passion of my life, and I hope that some day I can write full time.  I live in London, a city full of history, and I love to wander around art galleries and museums and stately homes.  My favourite periods are Regency and Victiorian and Edwardian history, but I also cherish a love for King Arthur and his times...which is why I wrote "Roman Bride".
I also visit European cities such as Paris, Luxembourg and places in Belgium, to get the atmosphere for my stories.  I was delighted to see  the Empress Josephine's beautiful home Malmaison, just outside Paris.  I take lots of pictures to help me remember.
When writing I usualy find myself starting with a sentence that has come into my mind and "grabbed my attention".  It is usually something I've read in a biography that struck me and I use that as a starting point.  I then find it is a hard slog from there on to write the story, as the characters sometimes take over and dicate it and "wont do what I want."
