LADY AURELIA
Lady Aurelia's Adventure is a novella set during the Peninsular War. Aurelia is a soldier's widow and an Earl's daughter. Mark is from a modest middle-class background, but he holds the King's Commission. They meet and fall in love, but will their different backgrounds make for problems? Will his pride refuse to allow him to marry a woman who is so much richer. She is used to following the drum but he's used to sleeping rough and taking his simple pleasures with ordinary people. But through her, he is noticed by his commander, Lord Wellington and has a chance of rising higher in his profession. She loves him but will they ever be more than lovers.
